BiographyMusic has always been an integral part of Cheri's life. At age 9 she learned to play the flute and years later taught herself to play the piano and guitar. She believes a pivotal time in her spiritual and music life came as a teenager when she joined her church's worship team. As they nurtured her growing faith and musical abilities, God placed a new dream in her heart to sing and write for His glory and purpose.  As Cheri grappled with the dream of music ministry, she found herself face to face with underlying insecurities and fears that had a stronghold on her life since childhood. Even though she "knew" Jesus Christ, she spent many years just being "religious" and not fully pursuing a life-altering personal relationship with Him. Yet, God had a hold of her heart and continued to call her.
Intrigued and challenged by the promises found in Jeremiah 29:11-13, she began to seek God in a way she never had before. She longed to know and find God and uncover the plan that He had for her individual life. As she studied and applied the Word of God, she began to see her heart changing. In the process, she discovered that true worth and identity is rooted in being a child of God and knowing Jesus personally. She was transformed from a terrified girl to a Spirit-led woman. Once so afraid to stand and speak in front of anyone, now by God's grace Cheri fearlessly loves to share the message of the gospel and music. Cheri's first full-length CD entitled "One Eye Open" was released in November 2003. This collection of Word inspired songs captures moments from her journey of faith. Plans are underway for her second CD. Cheri resides in eastern Pennsylvania with her husband Nathan and their three children.
